John Stotts
Where to Start... Designer, Builder, Artist, Globe of Death Motorcycle rider, Daddy, Husband & almost an Eagle Scout.
Oh yeah and the 2022 America's Got Talent Extreme WINNER....!!!!!!!
John started out as a phenom woodworker in high school (who knew...) and just happened to love BMX racing. (in the mid 1980's) Once racing got boring, John would throw tricks over the jumps during his races, as racing diminished his interests he decided to get into the new trend of BMX freestyle. Wow, now that opened to the door to where John is today, it wasn't long before he met Gary Laurent, an injured BMX racer turned BMX freestyle rider in a new show called SPLASH (Riviera Casino and Hotel LAS VEGAS) where John became his back up rider/ performer.
This is a relationship that has endured since that time, John and Gary went on to travel, tour and eventually transitioning into motorcycle stunt riders (in the same show SPLASH) where they learned how to ride inside a Big steel ball (called the Globe of Death) . John went on to start GlobeofDeath.com and performed for NASCAR, Monster Jam, Six Flags and a multitude of Theatrical Production shows.
Both guys would cross each others paths for the next 35 years until 2021 when a young Brazilian rider named Alfredo Silva (Deadly Games Knife Act) asked John and Gary if they could help him audition for a new spinoff show called Americas Got Talent Extreme. John supplied his Globe Equipment and a warehouse to proctice, Gary supplied Alfredo a bike and some boots... a team was created with an opportunity and a dream .. the guys beat out 30 other acts to win on MARCH 22, 2022 the newly formed act Called CAGE RIDERS went on to WIN the NBC Production of AGT Extreme.
Entertainment has been the staple for John for over 35 years and during that time he started many business's based on designing, wood working, metal fabrication and prop building. Entertainment is deeply rooted with him but yet still came across opportunities when entertainment was slow.
Johns father worked for Hughes Aviation (Howard Hughes Corp) and who knew that an opportunity would soon arise while he was building his new Globe of Death. One day a neighbor came around to have a look at this big steel ball and noticed detailed plans and drawing hanging on every open wall. The neighbor was impressed at the detail of the plans and inquired who drew them, so he said "I did..." The neighbor whose name is Bill McNiff then asked John if he would go with him to this helicopter hangar and help him propose some metal shop stuff. So he obliged Bill and then went out to the hangar where they met the Director of Maintenance (Rick Lund), So as the three men were introducing each other Mr. Lund looks at John, and asks "Do you know Jerry Stotts?"... John replies with " Yes, He is my Dad" . Rick and Jerry Stotts worked for Howard Hughes together back in the day. John and Bill went on to make some of the first Maintenance Stands for the helicopter industry and started a company called All Metal MS (MaintenancStands.com). Now John designs and builds for all branches of the MILITARY including other government agencies.
LAS VEGAS is a wonderful place to Live... Showgirls, Stage shows, entertainment, Military bases (Nellis & Creech AFB), conventions, movies and television shows. Stage props are a shoe in, tourists are of plenty and shows that need props have no end. Below are a gallery of props, bikes and Maintenance Stands... Welcome to the world of John Stotts.
